This policy explains how Placed Email (Hyderabad, Telangana, India) collects and uses personal data when you use Placed Email at placed.email. We are the data controller for the data described here. Contact: support@placed.email.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address and a hashed password.
- Purchase data: what you bought, the amount, and Paddle's order and customer references. Card and payment details are collected and stored by Paddle, never by us.
- Mailbox data: for each mailbox you connect, its address, sender name, SMTP server details and password. Mailbox passwords are encrypted at rest and used only to send your test emails and check your login.
- Test data: the email subject and body you configure, the test emails sent (sender, seed recipient, time) and their placement results, including authentication results (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
- Technical data: server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To provide the Service: run your tests, show reports and send you test summaries (performance of our contract with you).
- To process payments and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation).
- To send service emails such as password links, low-credit warnings and important changes (contract and legitimate interest).
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or send you marketing email without your consent.
Who we share it with
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for payments, tax and invoicing (Paddle's privacy notice).
- Deliverability testing infrastructure providers that operate the seed mailboxes your test emails are sent to and report their placement. They receive the test emails themselves and the sending address.
- Hosting and email delivery providers that run our servers and send our service emails.
- Authorities, where required by law.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Account, mailbox and test data are kept while your account is active. Delete a mailbox and its stored credentials are deleted immediately. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except purchase records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, encrypt mailbox passwords at rest, restrict administrative access, and keep our software up to date. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in and a security cookie to protect forms. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies when you make a purchase.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, and to object to processing. To use these rights, email support@placed.email. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.

We'll post any changes on this page and update the date above. For material changes, we'll notify you by email.
